Description
Join jazz legends Chucho Valdés and Paquito D’Rivera for an intimate conversation on artistry, resilience, and the power of a 60-year bond. Their story is unlike any other: two icons whose careers spanned continents and decades, yet remained tethered by friendship. After years of following separate paths across the globe, they finally reunite to share the stage—and their years of wisdom behind the creation of the once-in-a-lifetime experience, the Chucho Valdés & Paquito D’Rivera Reunion Sextet. As with all our Interdisciplinary Arts Community Sessions, this event is free, and tickets are not required, however space is limited. This special conversation will be moderated by scholar and bass professor Nick Moran, as well as the founder of WORT’s La Junta radio program, Ricardo Gonzalez.
