Top Hat is the University of Wisconsin-Madison's enterprise student response system. It provides a powerful and convenient way for instructors to interact with students in real time. (Imagine asking your students a poll-type question, in the middle of your lecture, and broadcasting the summation of responses up on your projection.)
This 30-minute session is a great place to start to learn the fundamentals of this great tool.
