Campus ID (Wiscard) required for entrance into Memorial Library.
Event Details
How is the use of AI in teaching and research changing the traditional apprenticeship model of graduate education? In this session, we’ll explore the impact of AI on graduate students in their roles as students and as junior researchers and teachers. We’ll (re)consider how we approach graduate mentorship, training, and professional development to identify what should evolve and what should remain the same as we prepare the next generation of scholars.
AI in Academia Coffee Hour is a collaborative effort supported by the RISE-AI Collaboration HQ, the UW–Madison Libraries, the Data Science Institute, the College of Computing & Artificial Intelligence, the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Mentoring, along with the AI Readiness and Competency Working Group. Attend this series for coffee, breakfast, and conversation centered around the impact of AI on academia and the challenges and opportunities that it brings!
