Event Details
As AI accelerates a crisis of trust in publishing, is disclosing its use a necessary safeguard or a bureaucratic hurdle? In this session, we will examine the growing demand for AI transparency, debate the utility of formal disclosure statements, and ask a key question: how do we meaningfully and usefully disclose AI use, and to what end?
AI in Academia Coffee Hour is a collaborative effort supported by the RISE-AI Collaboration HQ, the UW–Madison Libraries, the Data Science Institute, the College of Computing & Artificial Intelligence, the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Mentoring, along with the AI Readiness and Competency Working Group. Attend this series for coffee, breakfast, and conversation centered around the impact of AI on academia and the challenges and opportunities that it brings!
