"Invasive Plants, Soils and Ecosystem Processes: What Have We learned so Far?" Invasive plants affect the soil they grow in, as do all plants, native or exotic. A large amount of research has been devoted to understanding if and how the plant-soil nexus affects invasion processes. Ehrenfeld will discuss the current status of this work, and describe her recent research on the role of legacy effects in understanding plant-soil interactions in invasion ecology.
