Description
Classical theories of business creation emphasize the importance of the social environment for cultivating conditions for entrepreneurship and emphasize the state as having a vital role in fostering a stable legal setting in which people pursue these endeavors. Phillip Kim will provide an overview of an alternative theory and present supporting evidence for how entrepreneurs in emerging economies draw on alternative sources of institutional incentives that help them start businesses.
