Crumb rubber infill is used as a shock absorbing agent in synthetic turf athletic fields and is gaining popularity for both indoor and outdoor field applications. WSLH Advanced Microbiologist Curtis Hedman will discuss the results of a study to characterize the concentrations of volatile organic compounds, semi-volatile organic compounds, rubber-related chemicals, and particulate matter in air at synthetic turf crumb rubber fields for analytical support of a human health risk assessment study.
