Former trade representative for the Clinton administration, Ambassador Barshefsky is best known for her work with entering China into the WTO. Barshefsky will address how economic barriers and weak infrastructure are prohibiting the development in Africa and the fight against the HIV/AIDS pandemic. This event is sponsored by Project 40/40, a student global HIV/AIDS initiative to provide financial assistance to more than 40,000 HIV-positive Ugandans without medical treatment.
