Melissa, a SLIS PhD candidate, will talk about her dissertation research on the social construction of sexual deviance through the lens of the Library of Congress catalog. Her presentation will be of interest to anyone interested in the politics of classification, gender and sexuality, the role of libraries in knowledge production, bibliocide, and library history.
