Description
This free screening is with Augustino Ting Maya, a UW-Madison graduate student who has a similar story to those in the film. Orphaned by a tumultuous civil war and traveling barefoot across the sub-Saharan desert, John Bul Dau, Daniel Abol and Panther Blor were among the 25,000 "Lost Boys" who fled villages, formed surrogate families and sought refuge from famine, disease, wild animals, and attacks from rebel soldiers and eventually came to settle in the United States. This is their story.
