Technogenarians: What Does Science and Technology Studies Offer The Study Of Aging (And VI

Aging and aging populations are being constructed as central social problems in the U.S., Canada, UK, Japan, and other countries. This talk will look at the social construction of aging populations and how science and technology centers are mobilizing to address it in North America, Japan, and the European Union. It will highlight what Science and Technology Studies (STS) offers to the study of aging, as well as what STS can learn from existing approaches to aging.
