Description
Exploding stars, or Supernovae, are some of the most energetics events ever observed in Universe and when they occur, they become milestones in astronomy and history. Not only are they exciting, they are also essential for the formation of elements as we know it. Observing the next galactic supernova with IceCube would yield a wealth of information about the process that exploding stars undergo and the effect they had on the formation of life on this planet.
