Description
Debbie Nickerson, Department of Genome Sciences and Director of the Northwest Genomics Center, University of Washington-Seattle, has pioneered approaches widely adopted for identification and genotyping of sequence variation, single nucleotide polymorphisms or variants, insertion deletions and copy number variations. More recently, her work has focused on the application of next generation sequencing in Pharmacogenetics, complex human diseases and rare Mendelian disorders.
