Event Details
Date
Monday, July 15, 2013
Time
3 p.m.
Description
The prevalence of mobile technology has resulted in increased multitasking during everyday tasks, such as the growing number of adults who talk or text while walking or driving. Distraction is responsible for a rising percentage of accidents in these daily activities. Gaspar will present research that examines the effects of cognitive distraction on simulated street crossing performance and discuss the role of factors such as aging in multitasking performance in an applied context.
