Cortex, Consciousness and Anesthesia

Research conference co-sponsored by the Departments of Anesthesiology and Neuroscience, and the Neuroscience Training Program. The event will run the full day. The morning session will cover the Integrated Brain (cortico-thalamic circuitry, neural basis for conscious perception, quantitative measures of connectivity and consciousness, consciousness in non-mammalian species), and the afternoon session will focus on The Fragmented Brain (anesthesia, disorders of consciousness, meditation).
