Description
The rise in mobile technology has increased the occurrence of multitasking during tasks such as driving a car or crossing a busy street. However, much remains unknown about how dividing attention affects real-world performance and whether these costs can be overcome. This presentation will describe a multifaceted approach to studying attention, aging and multitasking and outline future directions for research on divided attention in complex tasks.
