Time

Description
Derived from the names of its three founding members, Lara Klaus, Daniela Serna and Maria Gonzalez, LADAMA members wish to inspire social change in their native South American region as well as North America, from where the fourth member, Sara Lucas, hails. LADAMA is a true combination across cultures and backgrounds. Gonzalez plays the bandola Ilanera, an obscure Venezuelan instrument rarely played by women. All the band members are multi-talented musicians and their sound reflects their diverse backgrounds, blending Colombian, Venezuelan and Brazilian music. Enjoy also a free workshop at 2 pm on on Saturday, 9/16/17, at the Rotary Plaza Stage, just outside Madison Children’s Museum, corner of N. Hamilton and Capitol Square. Titled Afro-Colombian Percussion Music Styles, it includes dancing, shakers and great fun for the whole family.
