La Cineteca italiana is a weekly film series that showcases a variety of Italian films with English subtitles.
This week we are screening Federico Fellini’s “Amarcord,” a spectacular show of fanciful nostalgia. The film, loosely centered around teenage Titta and his larger than life family, presents a number of vignettes. Titta’s crushes, his fondness for practical jokes, mealtime drama, and participation in public ceremonies are all set against the backdrop of Catholic and fascist Italy.
