La Cineteca italiana is a weekly film series that showcases a variety of Italian films with English subtitles.
This week we are screening Giuseppe Tornatore's "Cinema Paradiso," a marvelous film that tells the story a young boy's coming of age alongside the transformation of the cinema. This charming tale begins with a young Salvatore's infatuation with the movies, tells of his deep friendship with the projectionist, of his first love, and above all of his life-long passion for the cinema.
