Lake Mendota is a beautiful and beloved waterbody in the Greater Madison Area. Thanks to the UW Center for Limnology, Lake Mendota has been called the most studied lake in the U.S.

Below the surface, Lake Mendota is a dynamic and ever-changing ecosystem. In this month’s Yahara Lakes 101 talk, we’ll hear from Dr. Paul Hanson about the phosphorus dynamics in Lake Mendota and how machine learning can help us better understand the linkages between human decision making and water quality.
