Description
In this talk, I will present ContainerFS, a new file system for Google's gVisor that builds on the ideas of Overlay file systems. From preliminary measurements, ContainersFS offers a 5x performance improvement for opening a random, unopened file compared to gVisor’s current implementation. We will explore methods for preloading file system images into gVisor and using Bloom Filters to effectively traverse multiple layers within ContainerFS, along with performance measurements of gVisor.
