This lecture with the focus on multilingual and academic writing practices of self-outed undocumented youth is the first of three lectures on Critical Approaches to Language Studies sponsored by the Second Language Acquisition PhD Program and the Language Institute. The series also includes talks by J. Rosa, Stanford University (April 6) and M. E. López-Gopar, Universidad Autónoma Benito Juárez de Oaxaca, Mexico (April 27.) The three lectures are followed by a panel with all speakers on May 4.
