Kelsey John will explore several aspects of horse origin stories through a Native American epistemology. Centering American Indian Studies theoretical work on the more than human world, she highlights some important misconceptions about the horse's story in relationship with other settler narratives. Kelsey John is a member of the Navajo Nation and an assistant professor with a joint appointment in American Indian Studies and GWS at the University of Minnesota.
