Procter & Gamble’s Research & Development Organization is the engine behind the creation of new innovative products. This talk will start with Procter & Gamble’s beginning as a soap and candle company, as well as their current business unit structure. Most of the presentation will focus on how statisticians and data scientists play a critical role in Procter & Gamble’s innovation pipeline. Speakers will discuss the statistics and data science organization, cover a few general case studies, and explain the types of skills needed for these roles, and our collaboration with academia. The presentation will be followed by Q/A.
