Uncut Attire

How has weaving influenced clothing design, particularly in cultures where handweaving is strongly embedded into communities? This exhibition will show the creative ways various Indigenous cultures have found ways to create garments with minimal to no cutting or sewn construction. Uncut highlights the ways in which these cultures create a system of fashion, not around the changes of silhouette and hemlines but rather through the subtle differences in woven designs.
