Professor Srivastava will present a 2-part seminar on the statistical modeling and analysis of structured data, in particular imaged objects. Part 1 of the talk will include recent developments of "elastic representations" of structures such as functions, curves, surfaces, and graphs. Part 2 of the talk will focus on statistical analyses: computing shape summaries, estimation under shape constraints, hypothesis testing, time-series models, & regression models involving shapes.
