Description
Substantial longitudinal research indicated that well-implemented dual language immersion programs are highly effective instructional models for multilingual learners. With the increased popularity of these programs and a shortage of certified educators across the United States, securing bilingual teachers is challenging. This presentation shares the findings from a qualitative study of seven international Latinx teachers in North Carolina with recommendations for onboarding and retention.
