David McHugh, M.A.., (Information School) will share practical approaches to teaching with and about generative AI through examples from his course LIS 408: Generative AI: Strategic Application, Evaluation, and Critique. He’ll discuss how students have engaged generative AI for applied use, critical evaluation, and thoughtful reflection. You will gain insight into classroom strategies, what worked well, what proved challenging, and how teaching with AI can create space for deeper conversations about critique, ethics, and responsible use. You will also have an opportunity to discuss your own experiences.
