Description
Rudolf Mosse was the major newspaper publisher in Berlin in the early part of the twentieth century. When the Nazis came to power in 1933, his family fled Germany, and his renowned art collection, along with all the other property owned by his family, was confiscated. In 1934, the art collection was sold in Berlin, and the millions of dollars in proceeds appropriated by the Nazi regime. The illustrated lecture will discuss the origins of the collection and its fate under the Nazis.
