Aparna Lakkaraju, PhD, Assistant Professor, School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, will discuss our current understanding of how vision loss occurs in age-related macular degeneration (AMD), the fastest growing cause of blindness among older adults. She will also present latest research on available treatments and what can be done to prevent this devastating disease.
