Suraiya Ruma Haroon, a Ph.D. graduate student from Bangladesh studying genetics, will be presenting. It is very important for a scientist to intimately understand what he or she can answer using a model organism, and how he or she can make full use of all the wonderful things every organism has to offer. With the various tools and organisms, scientists better understand the problems and solutions that they face.
