Ed Churchwell, professor emeritus of UW-Madison's Department of Astronomy, will be presenting. An expert on star formation, infrared and radio astronomy, and issues of extraterrestrial life, he'll explore in his presentation the prospect of whether extraterrestrial civilizations exist, and what are our prospects of detecting them.
