Description
Guest speaker Alfie Kohn has been described by Time Magazine as "the country's most outspoken critic of education's fixation of grades and test scores." There is a significant difference between getting students to think about their performance and getting them to think about the learning itself. In this timely and provocative presentation, Kohn explores recent research on the implications of the distinction between performance and learning for curriculum, motivation and in-class assessment.
