Description
The Morgridge Center for Public Service and American Red Cross have teamed up to host a special blood drive to raise awareness about Sickle Cell Disease and increase the number of African-American donors. It's important that blood donors reflect the ethnic diversity of the patients who receive their blood. Patients with Sickle Cell Disease - primarily those in the African-American community - are less likely to have complications from blood donated by African Americans. All donors are welcome!
