Description
An illustrated, public lecture focusing on medieval automata and robotics as represented in medieval literary manuscripts and their visual representations. Elly Truitt is Associate Professor of History at Bryn Mawr College, with a focus on the history of science and technology in the Middle Ages. She has recently published Medieval Robots: Mechanism, Magic, Nature, and Art. (Pennsylvania State University Press, 2015).
