Description
Health disparities are the extra burden of poor health to specific populations. While being insured and having access to healthcare are huge factors, there are many more ranging from cultural mores to the implicit bias of healthcare workers. All contribute to a hierarchy of health. Health disparities are not just about the Third World, but exist here in our own backyard in Madison. Come learn about health disparities in the United States at this presentation given by Dr. Theresa Duello.
