Description
The quality of research depends on the rigor with which researchers conduct studies and control for biases. Recent publications and meetings have focused on the observation that research results are often not reproducible. Although there are many possible causes, inadequate experimental design and insufficient reporting of methodologies appear to be factors. Dr. Shai Siberberg is a program officer at NIH-NINDS and one of the lead authors behind the scientific rigor initiative across NIH.
