Over half the world’s population lives in urban areas; these changing landscapes influence how we respond to environmental stressors. Interaction of social and environmental factors are important drivers of health disparities. The Survey of the Health of Wisconsin illustrates multi-level factors that influence health and health disparities. Findings will identify future research strategies to support equitable social and environmental policies that protect our most vulnerable populations.
