Food/Art of the Ibero/American Axis

This symposium will focus on cuisine as visual culture through the use of food by Spanish visual artists Alicia Rios and Antoni Miralda. Bringing these two artists together will allow us to see a range of approaches, from edible sculptures to sociological interventions. Their projects give visual impact to the aspects of food that can seem hidden (interior to the body) or ephemeral (social formations).
