Join us on the Terrace for a Fourth of July celebration on Saturday, July 1! Grab a cup of Babcock ice cream, an ice cold beverage, and a brat and enjoy. As always, amazing views and sunset photo ops are included in the experience. The full lineup for the entire day will be released soon!3-5pm: Music from Mr. Chair3-5pm: Wild Rumpus Circus Stilt Walkers and the 12-Foot Trout8:15-9:15pm: Science is FUN Learn about science and fireworks with Professor Shakhashiri, Mike Leckrone and the UW Marching Band, and Bucky Badger. 10pm-Midnight: Gabe Burdulis Band Gabe Burdulis is a young singer/songwriter based out of Nashville, TN. He was raised in Madison, WI as a self taught multi-instrumentalist. He started playing in bands, writing songs and performing at the age of 12. Burdulis grew up playing the and listening to pop music, although he has been described as a "country John Mayer".As a songwriter Burdulis' expertise is in love songs. His lyrics and music have been referred to as "a virtual clinic on songwriting expertise" (Rick Tvedt of Local Sounds Magazine). His acoustic songs will hit you straight in the heart and his melodies will leave you wanting more. He is often said to have an old soul and through some of his lyrics you might believe it. This free event is intended for UW-Madison students, faculty, staff, Wisconsin Union members and their guests. Anyone can become a Union member.
