Description
Down From The Hills plays bluegrass music inspired by the likes of Bill Monroe, Earl Scruggs & John Hartford on the traditional instrumentation of banjo, guitar, mandolin, fiddle, dobro & upright bass [this one made by the bass player from a washtub & 4-string neck!]. The band features instrumental solos & vocal harmonies, plus have recently have added a Cajun flavor to their shows, with Pat on the Cajun button accordion.This free event is intended for UW-Madison students, faculty, staff, Wisconsin Union members and their guests. Anyone can become a Union member.
