An Evening with Dr. David Johnson

Event Details

Date
Thursday, November 16, 2017
Time
7:30-9 p.m.
Description
WUD Distinguished Lecture Series invites you to its first Spotlight Lecture this year! Professor David Johnson will present his talk, "Healthcare & Taxes: Basic Economic Forces, Brutal Political Realities." Dr. Johnson is a professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics.  Economic policy reform in the first ten months of the Trump Administration has centered around health care and taxes. No other issues boast more stakeholders than these two. After all, everybody gets sick, and everybody pays taxes. Or do they? Or should they? Join the Distinguished Lecture Series in a productive conversation about current economic policies! The event will take place on Thursday, November 16 in the Sonata Room, Second Floor of Gordon Commons. Doors will open at 7:00 p.m. The hour lecture will be followed by a brief Q&A. If you need accomodation to attend this event, please contact Megan Spletzer at spletzer@wisc.edu. All accomodation requests should be made no less than two weeks before the event. We will attempt to fulfill requests made after this date but cannot guarantee they will be met.  This event is free for students and the public.
