Modeling and Interpretation of Smart Manufacturing with Functional Data

Dr. Ran Jin is an Assistant Professor in the Grado Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech. In this talk, he will focus on manufacturing modeling problems and data interpretation with functional data, where the models will be used in data-driven decision making in smart manufacturing. Dr. Jin's research focuses on data fusion in smart manufacturing, including the integration of different types of data sets.
