Winter Carnival Hat & Flannel Day and Coffee Bar

Hoofers Winter Carnival Just Because It's February Doesn't Mean We Can't Play Outside! Show your outdoorsy side by sporting a flannel shirt! Bonus points if you have a Hoofer Ski & Snowboard winter hat! This tradition goes back to the 1940s when the Wisconsin  Hoofers took over general management of the annual Winter Carnival. The week-long flurry of activity was a mixture of athletic contests, social events, and demonstrations of school spirit. Plaid flannel shirts and ski sweaters were considered mandatory attire during the week. Free Coffee! We're kicking off Monday strong with a coffee bar, too. Come to the Hive on the Memorial Union Terrace from 3-5pm in your flannel to enjoy a free cup of coffee with your friends.  See all  Winter Carnival events  and join us for a whole week of winter fun!
