Description
We all felt the power when womxn are speaking their truth. We all know what has changed when the #Metoo hashtag was mushrooming on social media. We all know #Timesup. As we look back on these movements, we have to ask: Do these movements empower ALL women, specifically women of color? Center for Women Policy Studies found that 1/3 of women of color believed that they have to "play down" their race/ethnicity in order to succeed. According to a survey, black, Latina and Asian women only hold 3% of C-suite roles. When we are told to #LeanIn, what's holding us back? Besides "the Silence Breakers" named by the Time Magazine, there are many women of color who have paved the way for women to speak up. They are the pioneers, scholars, activists who dare to speak up and fight for a more inclusive workplace for all. We are thrilled to have 4 incredible women of color with different backgrounds to share their experience, moments of empowerment and change in the workplace.  Please join us for the panel “Women of Color in the Workplace” for our 2018 Women of Color Week!
