Shiitake Mushroom Workshop

Join Drs. Glen Stanosz and Scott Bowe, UW-Madison, for an introduction to Shiitake mushroom cultivation. This hands-on demonstration will begin with a discussion of the life cycle of Shiitake mushrooms. We will demonstrate how hardwood logs are prepared, inoculated, and tended to grow these delicious mushrooms. Chicken shiitake wild rice soup will be served at the beginning of the 1 pm session. Advance registration required.
