Presented by The Madison Reunion: Featuring musicians Boz Scaggs, Ben Sidran, Tracy Nelson and special guests. Boz Scaggs Singer, songwriter, guitarist Boz Scaggs was a student at the UW-Madison in the ‘60s where he teamed up with fellow students Steve Miller and Ben Sidran to play at parties and local clubs. Since then, Boz has had a distinguished recording career – selling millions of records with Top 20 hits like “Lowdown” and “Lido Shuffle” – and continues to tour internationally and to expand his own musical horizons with jazz and blues projects like Dig, Memphis and A Fool to Care.   Tracy Nelson Tracy Nelson is a Madison native who got her start singing in coffeehouses. In the mid-‘60s she was part of the San Francisco music scene, performing with her band Mother Earth and sharing the bill with Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and the Grateful Dead. Tracy moved to Nashville in the late ‘60s and has recorded nearly 20 solo albums showcasing her soulful sound. Tracey remains one of the most important voices of the era and the current music scene.   Ben Sidran Jazz pianist/composer/producer/author/scholar/hipster Ben Sidran was born in Racine, but cut his musical teeth in Madison. While in college at the UW in the ‘60s, his collaboration with fellow musicians Boz Scaggs and Steve Miller led to one of his early songwriting successes, “Space Cowboy.” Ben has recorded more than 30 albums, produced for Diana Ross, Van Morrison, Ricki Lee Jones and others, hosted “Jazz Alive” on NPR and the “New Vision” series on VH-1. The author of 3 books he lives in Madison wiith his wife, Judy.
