Online: Recidivism & Restorative Justice with Mary Ellen Heng

We will define recidivism and how restorative justice can be used to decrease its prevalence. After starting with a short presentation on recidivism, Deputy City Attorney for the Criminal Division of Hennepin County Mary Ellen Heng will present about her Criminal justice reform efforts, including the Restorative Court which uses social workers in place of prosecutors to help people who are continuously in the system move on from it. This event is free and open to students and faculty.
