Seminar: Understanding Geographic Disparities in Mortality

La Follette School Professor Jason Fletcher will discuss his research comparing life expectancies by state of residence and state of birth. They found that geographic inequality in life expectancy is even higher based on state of birth, implying that migration undoes some of the large health disparities by birth-place that are typically hidden from view.
