Biostatistics and Medical Informatics Seminar with Heping Zhang, PhD, of Yale University

Professor Zhang will present the work his students did over the past few years. He will discuss how to find, replicate, interpret, and eventually make use of genetic super-variants, which are sets of alleles in multiple loci of the human genome, although unlike the loci in a gene, contributing to a loci that can be anywhere in the genome. He will also discuss conducting statistical inference for high dimensional and structure data objects and how to do this in non-Euclidean spaces.
